Insights from the CNI/ARL Joint Task Force Report

Grounded in the CNI/ARL Joint Task Force report, this webinar explores four AI-driven scenarios for the future of research libraries—Democratized AI, Consumer-Oriented AI, Laissez-Faire AI, and Autonomous AI. Each scenario highlights unique challenges and opportunities, from managing bias and transparency to evolving roles for libraries in AI-enhanced research.

We will discuss actionable strategies for libraries to navigate these possible futures, ensuring ethical, inclusive, and innovative approaches to AI. We will also explore perspectives on these futures and discuss how research libraries can prepare for each scenario’s distinct implications.
