OpenAthens now available in the Microsoft Azure Marketplace
We’re pleased to announce that OpenAthens, in partnership with Microsoft, is now listed in the Azure Marketplace.
Active Directory has long been a common way of managing networks and users, implemented by organizations of different sizes all over the world. Microsoft Azure extends this approach to the cloud and has seen considerable adoption in a variety of environments. Given that user details are readily available as part of this method, it’s only natural that more and more administration teams have expressed an interest in using these credentials to enable single sign-on systems across their networks.
We’ve worked with several Azure-based customers to help them implement OpenAthens as a way of providing federated single sign-on access to protected content and applications, but until now this has relied on a manual configuration process, sometimes using a legacy Azure portal that not everyone has access to – and the setup process required a significant amount of Azure experience.
We’re pleased to announce that OpenAthens, in partnership with Microsoft, is now listed in the Azure Marketplace, with specific documentation available from Microsoft. OpenAthens is now significantly easier to implement as an access management service in conjunction with Azure Active Directory – and as a certified app, it’s now available for integration with all Azure configurations, even for those customers without an Azure Premium license.
